St. Louis Cardinals

 
St. Louis Cardinals is one of the popular teams that is based in St. Louis in Missouri. They are a member of the Central Division of the National League. The Cardinals were established by the American Association in the year 1882. It was then known as the St. Louis Brown Stockings.
 
History of the St. Louis Cardinals
 
The period from 1940s to 1970s was a significant era in the history of the team. One of the most precious finds of the team was outfielder Stan Musial. By dint of his performance, he soon shot to fame. He became a part of the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969. During the period from 1980 to 1989, the Cardinals again regained their momentum and starting the season with a series of wins.
