Berkman likely to miss the First Game
 
Lance Berkman, Houston All-Star first baseman bruised his left knee after Monday's workout and perhaps will miss the Astros' spring training opening match on Thursday. This 34-year-old first baseman has been reported of soreness and swelling in his knee. Manager Brad Mills said "I'm not going to rule that out yet, but I'm going to push back the decision. If I was leaning towards one way or another, it would be that he wouldn't be in the lineup."
 
Ricky Romero will start Jays' spring opener against Tigers
 
Left-hander Ricky Romero is set to start the Toronto Blue Jays' spring training opener. "You've still got to go out there and prove yourself and continue to so good… As long as I'm part of the rotation and I'm part of the 25 guys going out there and competing, I'm fine with that” Romero said.
 
Rangers' JoshHamilton out for Thursday for shoulder injury
 
Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton will not be able to perform at the exhibition opening match against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday due to bruised left shoulder. Rangers’ manager Ron Washington is unable to give any clue about Hamilton’s return.
 
Koufax Will Teach Dodgers at Spring Training
 
It is a great achievement for the Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers as Hall of Fame lefty Sandy Koufax is going to appear at the Dodgers' spring training this week. He will teach them as a guest instructor. According to Dodgers’ left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw, "You feel really comfortable when you're with him. Some of the Hall of Fame players I've met -- not that they aren't approachable -- but you're in awe of them. He makes it really easy for you to talk to him. It's like he's another coach."
 
Philadelphia Phillies Invited Revs' Keoni DeRenne to Spring Training
 
The latest Spring Training News is that Keoni DeRenne, the captain of the York Revolution team has been invited to spring training 2010 by Philadelphia Phillies. DeRenne has played in 339 games for the Revolution which is a record. He is the longest-tenured player in Revolution’s history.
